Dr Henno W. Martin is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist in Cambridge, working at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital, and GenesisCare Newmarket. He specialises in prostate, bladder and breast cancers, providing consultations, second opinions and treatment planning across all stages of disease.

His clinical practice includes radiotherapy and systemic anti cancer therapies, with a focus on clear, evidence based recommendations and proactive side effect management. Where appropriate, he also provides specialist radiotherapy techniques including stereotactic treatments and brachytherapy.

Dr Martin also works with Sciensus Homecare to support patients receiving treatment safely at home, and he regularly coordinates care across surgical, medical and radiology teams to ensure joined up decision making.

In addition to his clinical work, he is the oncology inpatient lead for the planned Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital programme at Cambridge University Hospitals, helping shape inpatient oncology pathways and standards of care as part of the hospital’s development.

His academic work focuses on liquid biomarkers, particularly cell free DNA and circulating tumour DNA, to improve cancer diagnosis and to predict treatment response and toxicity during radiotherapy.
